MARS has made the difficult but necessary decision to close our gift shop and suspend outdoor tours for at least the next couple of weeks. We are erring on the side of caution after news of Covid 19 continuing to spread in B.C. We do not want to put any of our visitors or volunteers at risk and we hope this temporary closure will flatten the curve to the point that we are able to re-open soon.
If you are looking for safe gift ideas, click here or on the “Donate” button of the website to see some wonderful opportunities. You might give someone a Wildlife Release accompanied by a certificate, or a Raptor Sponsorship also with a certificate. Both are ways to give while contributing to our precious wildlife. Our 50/50 tickets are available online as well.
The wildlife hospital will remain open to care for our patients and ambassador birds. If you wish to drop off donated items, there will still be a table outside the hospital for this from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily. No contact is necessary.
If we all do our part then hopefully restrictions can be relaxed in the near future. Please stay safe!
