Noel, a bald eagle brought into MARS on December 25th still struggles to overcome the bone infection in her leg. It has required several vet visits, with x-rays, and an aggressive course of treatment with different types of medications since her arrival. Reg is cautiously optimistic about her chances at this time, and her progress is slow but steady. She has a good appetite although sometimes she rejects her medicated food. We hope with time she will recover fully, the fact that she is now standing is good but there is still weakness in the leg. This will be a long term treatment and we hope to move her into an outdoor flight pen some day.
