Friday was an exciting day for us as all three pads for the animal recovery buildings were successfully poured through a generous donation from Cumberland Rotary and Cumberland Ready Mix. Volunteers from MARS worked with Manny from Cumberland Ready Mix and Owen from Acme Concrete to get the job done.
The concrete was donated by Cumberland Rotary, and the delivery was donated by Keith of Cumberland Ready Mix who was delighted that he could help. To get the concrete to the pads (located in the forest) we needed a pumper truck (also arranged by Keith). These guys were sure professional and hard working.
When we left our old site, some of the recovery buildings were either to degraded or not possible to move so we have been scrambling since we moved to our new site in May. One of the pads is for a recovery building that is sponsored, but we have no sponsors for the other two. We are offering some great advertising opportunities for organizations willing to sponsor a building.
If you (or anyone you know) might be interested in sponsoring either an animal recovery cage or an ambassador home, you can read more here or call us at 250 337-2021.
