It’s official! The new MARS wildlife hospital is operating with the help of solar power. A BIG warm “thank you” to the Comox Valley Community Foundation for providing funds to make it possible and to Sal McQuarrie and Ben Frank of Terratek Energy for their contribution of solar panels.
The BC company is a leader in renewable energy and is renowned throughout the province for the design and installation of photovoltaic electrical systems.
And if that’s not cool enough, they waived their installation fee and used the money to add 4 more panels to our roof.
So our new solar-powered system is up and running and as soon as the weather turns sunny, we should be making lots of clean sustainable power!
